Today I learnt something 18 Aug 2022

“The pain you have might not be felt by others”. I was on my train ride after work from KL Sentral heading to Penang as the plan is to go back and visit my aunt who’s currently in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy. As the travelling time will take a few hours - 4 hours and 20 mins to be exact - it has taken my interest to rewatch one of my favourite movies - Mommy.   A story of a mother who’s struggling to be a mom to her son - Steve (Antoine Olivier Pilon) who has been carrying a character of an aggressive child, who will throw a tantrum when things are not going the way he wanted. Steve has lost his dad at a very young age. His attitude of being rough towards his mom has been noticed by his late grandmother since he was young. He was diagnosed with ADHD and is easily triggered by any action from anyone including his mom. One thing that opens a new perspective in my head is that how patient a mother can be and love wholeheartedly towards someone who might have hurt her but sti...

So is this how it's supposed to be?

T oday, I received a call from my dad. He was telling me that my mom wasn't home for 2 nights and this gonna be her 3rd night of being away from home.  My dad has no idea where she was and been contacting her friends if she's there with them as he suspected that she'd be at abang Along's place, her usual place. This problem has been going on for so long. Dad has told me that he couldn't endure with the pain he has in him. He is battling with it on his own. I felt terrible. I don't know what to do. I don't know what my mother has been thinking all this while. Does she want freedom? Does she want to be able to go anywhere? To say that my dad hasn't give her money is very unfair to him as he did that. It's just that, I know that he isn't be able to provide luxury to her life.  But all she did she was telling me that she's trynna help the family's financial which my dad has never asked her to do in the first place. This problem has been going...

Movie REVIEW: Submarine (2010) by Richard Ayoade

Image
Hello folks, I'm back again today for a movie review tho. I've never done this before and this is quite first time for me, but hey, good movies need to be reviewed for those who have been searching for a good movie to watch tho, just like me. I've been watching lots of foreign movies lately, I mean since forever but only now I have the guts to blog and sharing my feedback with other people. LOL This is Oliver Tate, one of the main characters in Submarine. He is a sophomore who has been conflicting himself internally, he has 2 intentions in his life, that is losing his virginity before his upcoming birthday and to help his parents' to fix their relationship like before. The storyline is divided into 3 parts. The mission of losing his virginity, then extinguishing his mother's scandal with her ex-boyfriend and be Jordana's boyfriend again. This is basically about the life of a kid who wanted to do like what the adults get to do but unwanted of becoming old...

An inspiration by a Worm by Ikram Sabri

How can you believe me that, I am about to tell you, I was inspired by the life of a struggled worm early this morning. It may sound ridiculous by the time you read the title but yeah it is going to be a story about worm and something related to life. People might think differently on how they perceive incredible things in life, they happen beyond our brains' ability to expect. Our mind is limited, while the whole universe is limitless. Praise the Lord the Almighty God. “Shallow minded people, they putting barbed wires around them, we scared to step out from the social conformity. Thus, it leads us to not to think the unbelievable.” We are quite familiar with the phrase of, 'never judge a book by its cover'. Little things we see, we have unseen, and we always doubt their capabilities just because they are tiny in terms of size. Wow, powerful indeed the way we think we are, but how certain are you that is the question. Ask yourselves, have you not thought that way...

Kodaline - In A Perfect World

Image
Hey guys, I have found out an album that really touched my heart whenever I am listening to it. Thanks to my friend who has introduced me to one of the song from the album which was 'All I Want' but it turned out that I love *wait let me put them in BOLD * LOVEEEEE  them so much. Dude, like who doesn't listen to Kodaline?? Their songs are soooo good tho.  This is their album, the one that I have mentioned earlier. God, who ever out there into music with an alternative rock, indie rock, folk rock, indie pop genre really should listen to this. Wait actually, the album has been out since 2012-14. I am so sorry, I've just moved out from a cave because I just knew that this album is pretty old. But like people say, Old but Gold. You can just simply buy these songs on tunes. It worth your money to invest some of it for this album. Or else you can just simply listen to them on youtube or perhaps, you know where to download site mate? hahah. There will be more album...

Burnt Norton Interlude by Lana Del Rey

Image
Time present and time past Are both perhaps present in time future And time future contained in time past If all time is eternally present All time is unredeemable What might have been is an abstraction Remaining a perpetual possibility Only in a world of speculation What might have been and what has been Point to one end, which is always present Footfalls echo in the memory Down the passage which we did not take Towards the door we never opened Into the rose-garden Lana Del Rey
