Movie REVIEW: Submarine (2010) by Richard Ayoade
Hello folks, I'm back again today for a movie review tho. I've never done this before and this is quite first time for me, but hey, good movies need to be reviewed for those who have been searching for a good movie to watch tho, just like me. I've been watching lots of foreign movies lately, I mean since forever but only now I have the guts to blog and sharing my feedback with other people. LOL
This is Oliver Tate, one of the main characters in Submarine. He is a sophomore who has been conflicting himself internally, he has 2 intentions in his life, that is losing his virginity before his upcoming birthday and to help his parents' to fix their relationship like before. The storyline is divided into 3 parts. The mission of losing his virginity, then extinguishing his mother's scandal with her ex-boyfriend and be Jordana's boyfriend again. This is basically about the life of a kid who wanted to do like what the adults get to do but unwanted of becoming old. The imagination is there of how he planned everything to make it perfect but always happened based not on his expectation. It is funny, stylish and ringing with adolescent truth. It is quite good I could say, 4/5 rating from me. The values in the movie that I actually seek for. It teaches me on how think beyond would be very good but always depend on your abilities. Btw, it's an R rated movie, which not suitable to be watched by kids under 18 years old.
Good songs they have for the soundtracks by Alex Turner. They're good I must confess.
